Hangtown Fibers Guild
Founded in 1981, the purpose of the Hangtown Fibers Guild is to encourage growth and knowledge of the fiber arts through meetings, workshops, lectures, and the exchange of ideas.
We are a Placerville-based fiber arts group. Our members share a common bond in the love and fascination with fibers; the cultivation, preparation and use of them, and the desire to congregate with like-minded people.

Read the new bylaws 2026
Meeting date and location:
The general meeting is at Veteran’s Memorial Building, 130 Placerville Dr., Placerville, at 10 a.m. on the third Thursday of each month of the year, except June, September, and December. Parking lot is behind building.
Next meeting:
There is no meeting in June because we are involved with the County Fair.
Be sure to visit our display at the El Dorado County Fair June 18-21.
All members are invited to volunteer to help with the many jobs that need to be done.
Next meeting will be July 16.
